Queer Power Coloring Book features in Pride event at the Whitney

The Whitney will honor the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies with a full day of activities for all ages on Gansevoort Street, including hands-on artmaking, collaborative coloring projects inspired by artist Chitra Ganesh, Queer History Walking Tours of the Meatpacking District, giveaways, and a special dance performance and workshop by dance collective Bob’s Dance Shop. 

Queer Power Coloring Book by Chitra Ganesh
11 am–6 pm
Contribute to twelve large scale coloring pages from Queer Power! A Time Traveling Coloring Book by Chitra Ganesh featuring Illustrations that document, archive, uplift, and honor the LGBTQIA+ history of New York City and beyond. Add color to one of Ganesh’s bold illustrations or draw in someone from your own life. 

The Bob's Dance Shop Experience
3–4:30 pm
Join Bob’s Dance Shop at the Whitney for a drop-in workshop for dancers of all abilities and ages. The iconic collective is renowned for their viral flash mobs and dance experiences that blend self-expression, empowerment, and community. The mantra of Bob’s Dance Shop is “be our best” and they encourage audiences to embody their truest selves, all while dancing and laughing their hearts out.
